In honor of the Super Bowl and Mardis Gras, Oceana, Midtown Manhattan’s Michelin starred seafood destination, will be celebrating New Orleans cuisine for the month of February, with a city-inspired “Big Easy” five-course tasting menu for $95 and a $50 wine pairing, featuring: • New Orleans Shrimp Salad with Creole rémoulade, asparagus, and Bibb lettuce - Pinot Blanc, Josmeyer, 2009, Alsace, France • Duck Gumbo with artichokes and Mirliton - Grüner Veltliner, Gobelsburger, 2011, Kamptal, Austria• Crispy Red Snapper with red beans, rice, and Andouille sausage - Knipser, "Clarette", 2011, Pfalz, Germany • Grilled Berkshire Pork Loin with Crayfish gravy, kale, and potatoes - Rioja, Reserva, Coto de Imaz, 2005, Rioja, Spain • King’s Cake with caramelized apple and cinnamon ice cream - Moscato d'Asti, Cascinetta Vietti, 2011, ItalyNew Orleans menu items are also available a la carte during lunch and dinner. Click here for more information. In addition to the tasting menu, Oceana is also celebrating the City of Jazz with live performances on Saturday nights from 9pm to midnight. Guests can sample the raw bar and small bites in the Café or enjoy a full dinner in the main dining room. There is no cover or minimum with dinner; a two-drink minimum without. Each artist will play three sets and the line-up is as follows: • February 9: Richard Vitale Quartet • February 14: Special Thursday night performance by Valentine Quartet featuring Paul Nedzela • February 23: Ryan Hayden Quartet
